I am a frame drummer and this little gadget keeps me from scooting over a chair to rest my foot on the chair's stretchers when I am drumming lap style. Want a foot stool? This does foot stool things. The rubber is riveted to the metal, so it's not going to come off easily like those that are simply glued on.
Sturdy enough, doesn't really slide around, sits pretty high if you want it to.

This is exactly what I needed when playing my guitar! Seems really sturdy and has multiple settings for adjustment. I felt I needed a foot rest when I play when not crossing my legs. The guitar would creep down my thigh. With the foot rest, it's really comfortable to play and the guitar stays put.

It's a guitar footstool. Does help my back when playing. For the price, it is fairly sturdy and adjustable (just don't put all of your weight on it, but it also states its ok to 14 lbs only). Has good no-mar rubber feet that don't mark up my hardwood floors and holds it in place so my foot doesn't slide out. Collapses into a pretty thin accessory that I can also pack up and take with me if needed (could fit it in with my stand bag).
Does the thankless job of holding my foot up while playing. Does what I need it to do. Good in my book.

When playing the guitar for several hours, not necessarily classical, it helps keep my back straight and I don't end up with circulation problems from crossing my legs. I'm still getting used to it, but sort of seems like I would really like it to go even one notch lower, although this foot stool had , I think, the lowest settings. The stool is very sturdy but, if you take your foot off of it, can easily be moved around.
