Just finished putting this Donner Ded 200 drum kit together for me and my grandson.
I am so impressed with the build quality of this drum kit . I watched many you tube reviews before my purchase and this drum kit really stood out as good value for the money ! I was not disappointed, this kit is terrific for beginners . Donner I have to thank you for making something so well thought out and affordable. Directions were straight forward and all the parts arrived in perfect condition. So well packaged and parts marked out and labeled that a child could assemble this !
Great job with Ded 200 kit Donner .
Hope to do business with you in the future.
Joseph
It looks cool, hitting comfort, the bouncing condition of the stick is also good, I am generally satisfied.
But the deadly point is one point.
There are overwhelmingly few variations of velocity in both snare and hi-hat.
Confirmed that there are only three stages of “weak, medium, strong”, and the range of “medium” is very narrow, so in actual performance, you can only express two stages of “weak” or “strong”.
I think the inability to express dynamics with rhythmic instruments is a fatal drawback.
( Because the overall review is high, I will consider the balance and make it a star 4)

Absolute unbelievable drum kit for the money. They play and sound fantastic.

It took me two days to assemble because I didn’t have a lot of room and had to shuffle stuff around. Now that it’s built... I remembered one of the reasons I bought this was because it’s easy to fold it closed and move it to the side when not in use. So that’s a positive. The quality of the parts are very good. It looks very well designed and doesn’t seem cheap at all. The mesh heads and the kick tower and kick pedal are also very nice. Mine didn’t come with a throne. I almost returned this. That first night, I immediately hooked it up to my DAW and recorded some drums on an original song. I couldn’t get a good enough sound that I was happy with. Even after EQ’ing and adding compression... kit 1 (a rock kit)... sounded bad. It had some effects and I don’t like kits with effects. I like them dry so I can add effects later. I called it a night and decided to return it thinking I needed something more expensive like a Roland kit to achieve a decent sound. The next day I remembered a video I watched on YouTube (65 DRUMS) who said not to give up on a new kit so quickly. To take some time and learn how to program it because you can probably modify it more to your liking. I decided to take his advice. Glad I did. I quickly figured out how to modify the sounds and replace and modify the sounds on kit #1 to dryer and better sounding drums. I fixed the snare, kick, and three toms very easily. So kudos to DONNER for making the drum module easy to use. NOW I’m happy with this kit. It recorded very well and with EQ, compression, and a touch of reverb (my choice)... it sounds great. One thing I wish is that when you adjust the master volume, that the screen told you what setting you are changing it too. There is no way to measure it. Also, the volume of the Toms is pretty loud... so I have to figure out how to lower them so they don’t record so loud. Other than that, this is a good kit that I do recommend it. I’ve just started using it and it seems really good so far. I liked the sounds better than those of a similar Alesis kit. DONNER seems to have good quality control. This is my first DONNER product and I’m liking the quality of their products. They seem a cut above. The item was packed very well and nothing was damaged.

i was weary i will admit. once i got everything together, it took a few days to figure out where and how i actually wanted to position the drums. at first everything sounded amazing. after about a week i started to actually notice how digital the drum sounds are. but its not 8 bit. if you are playing along with your favorite song, it is not noticeable to my ear. especially if you get the mix right between the drum volume and your playback volume. when not using with headphones, i plug into a rumbe 25 bass amp. and just play loud enough (almost as loud as an acoustic set though). i barely have the volume at 3 i think. hitting the mesh pads seems good enough for practice. obviously you are not going to get the feel of skins, but theyre definitely better than rubber (based on how the cymbals feel). cymbals feel weird to hit. i dont mind. 15 kits plus 1 custom kit. i was stuck on the default #1 kit, then cycled through the rest of the kits and settled on a custom setting consisting of sounds from kits 1-3. i was under the impression that i would be able to assign sounds to the tom rims. doesnt look like it unless i completely missed it. the cymbals are 2 trigger and chokeable. but when i hit the edge of the cymbal with the shaft of my stick, it tends to trigger the inner trigger, rather than the outer which i am targeting. i am not a drummer. i have the rhythm of a treestump. i am a guitarist. i bought this to get better at rhythm. im having a blast learning and using it. yeah its not the greatest kit. but for the price and why i bought it... not bad at all.

Overall, it works Great. If you have a smart phone with the lightning charger port and no auxiliary port, you’ll want to get a lightning to auxiliary adapter. They are about $10 but allows you to listen to music or drum apps through your drum headphones. Having this part alone made the drums a million times more fun to play. I’m working with customer support to get a replacement arm for the cymbal...haven’t heard back from them in a week so I may reduce this rating If no progress is made.

The media could not be loaded. For the price tag, you can't beat this drum kit. The dual mesh heads are super durable, I did a close-up pic of the mesh. I've been playing this kit since Nov 2020 and have been having a blast. The sound quality is better than other kits in this same price range, and you can save a personal kit, if you prefer kit#1 but you like the snare from kit#4 then you can change and save the setup. Each pad has 15 different sounds and independent volume adjustment as well as other adjustments you don't get with most cheaper entry-level kits, such as velocity, sensitivity, x-talk, retrigger, etc. The head tension is adjustable so you can get your stick rebound just right. The rack is sturdy and stable, nothing moves around on me while playing. I love the audio input for playing along with regular or drumless versions of songs from my phone. The kick tower pad allows for a dual bass pedal, and the sound module has a crash 2 port for an extra cymbal expansion. I don't have an external speaker yet, otherwise I would have given you a sound test video, but I use a pair of gaming headphones when I play and the sound quality is still great even through headphones. If you prefer a more professional opinion, or need to hear the sounds, there is a YouTube video by 66Samus where he reviews this same kit and plays it in the video, cycling through the different sound it has. If you're a beggining drummer, or if you're just looking for an affordable and reliable electronic kit from a great company, than this is the perfect drum set for you.

Excellent kit and price, impressed, with the sound and quality, bought a small guitar amp and I'm rocking, first electronic kit I've bought, always played a acoustic set, well worth the money so far

We were really impressed with how quickly the kit was delivered.
Ordered on Monday, received it on Wednesday.
The kit was very smartly packaged which made it very simple to assemble and connect.

Great product good communication and reasonably fast postage. Very happy with the experience and product
Tayden N.
Sounds great, feels great. Only problem is that I can't tune the drums using the control.

I am very pleased with this Donner eDrum kit. I got it for my fledgling drummer grandson and it is perfect. The sound quality is (to my ears) at least as good as eDrum kits from more famous manufacturers and the build quality is top notch. It will be great for my grandson to grow with. And with an eDrum, he can use headphones and spare his parents from having to listen to him practice. I was not looking to spend a fortune and this kit certainly delivers great value for the money.

Sound & Comfort: I have to admit, I haven't messed with the sound settings all that much yet. This is mostly because the original sound set worked fine for me. I expect over time, I will optimize this aspect further, but to get started, all levels and sounds are perfectly fine. I cannot overstress how important it is to get an electronic kit with mesh drum heads. The difference in comfort and realism between mesh and rubberized drum heads is dramatic. Though it has been a long time, I find myself being able to play snare rolls with ease and that doing so reminds me of the tactile experience of doing so decades ago. Another great feature is the use of multiple sound zones per drum. Specifically, if you hit the rim of the snare, you get a rimshot sound, if you hit the head you get a snare sound; if you hit the body of the ride cymbal you get a ride sound, if you hit the edge, you get a crash ride sound. Awesome!
Overall, I am very satisfied with this kit, and recommend it to anyone looking for a beginner kit to learn drumming with that punches high above its weight!

This is a good kit that I do recommend it. I’ve just started using it and it seems really good so far. I liked the sounds better than those of a similar Alesis kit. My Son is disabled due to a car accident. These drums have put a smile on his face. Easy set up, Sleek Design. Great sound. We highly recommend them

I've looked at electronic drums for some time now. Being new to drumming, I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case I didn't keep taking lessons. At this price point, it was an easy decision. The set arrived quickly and was well packaged. each part is clearly labeled and assembly was very easy. It comes with High hat, crash and ride cymbals, 3 tom toms, a snare and bass with pedal. The pads are all mesh, not rubber like some of the other inexpensive sets. There are various programs to "tune" the sound of each drum and cymbal. I couldn't be more pleased with this electronic drum kit.
CH
Very easy to assemble, pay attention to the instructions regarding drum installation if you’ve never had drums before. Cymbals need to be not sync her down and snare needs to be in the correct location. The Tom’s aren’t numbered so there’s no issue where you install them.
The kit is very well built, you will be impressed.....I was. My last kit was a Pearl Masters Series in the 90’s so I’m particular regarding construction. I was super impressed at the rebound from the mesh heads that are very realistic vs real drum heads.
Here’s the catch....don’t pay attention to the initial sound of the drums. I ran them through a fender guitar amp and wasn’t impressed with the sound. BUT....I went through the instructions and tuned each drum to what my preference was and it turned out amazing. There are so many drum sound combos and you have to be patient as with tuning any drum. Think about it as tuning your drums and out the same effort in to tuning your electronic drums as you would your standard drum set and you’ll be completely satisfied. So many options on the control center that it may get overwhelming but hang in there. Build your own drum kits on the settings and you’ll spend countless hours with the amazing amount of sounds available. One thing I do love about the kit is the drum rack adjustability. Regardless of how you fit into a kit, the adjustment ability is amazing.
Cost...we were able to buy this kit on sale during Christmas so the value for us was amazing. I’m not sure what the standard pricing is but it seems well worth the money.

My 16 yro son is teaching himself to play, but with all the other instruments, we had no space for a full-size kit. This drum set was the answer. He loves it. Just for reference, the place in the photo is on a 4x6 rug in our basement, so it's a pretty small area. The set sounds fantastic (purchased the Donner amp for it and the sound quality is great), and with the option for headphones, it was the perfect solution for us. Went together easily, came boxed appropriately with all the parts. It is small, and my son is very tall (6ft), but he just sits lower on the stool and it works fine. Very happy with it.
AYA
This electronic drum set has 225 different sound sources that can meet your jazz/rock, blues, punk and many other style needs.
Comes with headphones so it is suitable for home practice.
The volume is smaller than acoustic drums, so it's perfect for home practice.
By connecting MP3 players and audio devices to AUX IN, you can play drums according to your music, so it's easy to use.
The stand can be folded so it does not take up much space and is excellent for use in tight spaces.

•Contents and assembly
the kit comes in a box in turn containing many smaller boxes each with different parts. The manual contains a brief and exhaustive explanation of the steps to mount it. Having already installed an 'acoustic' battery years ago I was familiar with a few steps, while fortunately others were illustrated; absolutely feasible even by those who have never done it before, once assembled it is normal to have to play a little bit to figure out how to distance drums and cymbals to your liking. As for the presence of the accessories, a positive note that also include all the necessary Allen and screwdrivers and a jack cable to connect the audio module to a speaker, the chopsticks without infamy and without praise while he notices “negative” the absence of a stool, the only real lack of the kit for a beginner but nothing serious. The possibilities of spacing are limited compared to a traditional but still acceptable kit, on average for electronics.
•The battery: materials and construction
The skeleton is lightweight but usual, the plastic joints once tightened to need to remain stable.
The drums have a mesh surface, synthetic fabric that gives much better feedback than rubber and that tries to simulate the skin of the drums with more than decent results (also tension adjustable, but I didn't want to insist too much). The edges of the drums are instead covered with a thin layer of rubber, removable at will but useful for rim shots on the snare drum. On the other hand, the plates are made of rubber, feel very different from the metallic ones but for those like me who need a quieter kit than classic drums it is a necessary sacrifice.
Great pedals.
•Sounds and functions There
are 15 different options for each item in the kit, as well as 15 presets. The sounds are not bad at all, and the sensitivity of the pads is more than good. There is some problem with the cymbals because the sound of the middle part comes out a bit randomly hitting the pot instead of at that precise point but apart from that the rest of the sounds are very enjoyable.
There is the metronome and backing tracks that, however, make little sense given the possibility of connecting devices via an aux or usb input (note that the input is usb B type that of printers, not normal usb) Final
considerations:
I had the opportunity to try out other electronic kits in the store, and at this price none of them have mesh 'skins', here on Amazon I've seen more brands but having already had great experience with Donner I focused on them and I was happy with the choice. I recommend this kit to the drum newbies before arriving then to a traditional drums, if you take part of the best chopsticks and a stool then you can also use them for the one for which it is not I see as a deal-breaker.
Brock
The sound is pretty great. There’s still the issues with timber and response that is inherent to all electric drums kits. That being when you play beyond a certain speed or in odd rhythms it doesn’t sound the same as it would on an acoustic kit. The kits themselves don’t bring a lot of variety, I personally find that kit 1 with reverb 0 is the best sound. That makes for a dual experience of both it sounding pretty great out of the box (only needing a slight low EQ bump and high EQ dip) and it not feeling too satisfying to work through the massive amount of possible drum sets you can configure.
I do absolutely love that you can change every drum and every sensitivity. To the degree where you can have a different cymbal edge and cymbal bell. Even the snare rim can be changed. If the menus could be set to stay up longer that would also make setting up your own kits much more rewarding.

I purchased this drum set for my 10 year old son who is a beginner. I was not expecting high quality sound given the price but I have been very impressed with the quality. The set looks and feels high end for the price. The sound is superb, especially if you connect it to some good speakers. The quality of the toms, symbols, and snare are right on point and feel durable like they will withstand years of use. The setup was easy (about 20 minutes). The sound feels like a real drum set and you have multiple variations that you can access for more fun and excitement.
AlonaNY
My 14-year-old son loves this drum set. My son is a beginner. He assembled the set by himself and said that it wasn't complicated and that the quality is great.

The Sounds are awesome. You can change to different sounds types which is what I was looking for just to have fun with my son. Easy to move from room to room and take outside. I can connect it to any speaker with an audio port adapter. I recommend for beginners like me. May also be good for advanced too but I’m no musician to tell that.

I started lessons a couple of months ago and I bought this to practice at home. Sound quality is great and there are only a couple things that bugged me, like the cymbals going off when I wasn’t hitting them, but after some adjustments, there were no more problems. I find the snare is also too small for my liking, but that’s not the fault of the set itself. Overall, really happy with this purchase.
Amber D.
Drum set is amazing! The other kids are soo jealous! Only disappointing part is it came with no headset.. was thinking it did sooo there was no way to hear it but luckily my son figured out how to hook it up to his blue tooth speaker
Daniel D
Bought for my 8 year old son. We love using it as well. The sound is great and having the ear ohones is awesome. My husband put it together. Now just waiting on lessons for him.
Lucas
This is a very good product I would buy it again if I could everything is accurate the only concern I had was it was too short I need to put it on Stump something so it's more my size
Brian G
I bought this set for my Daughter and she loves it. Everyday I hear the tapping but the best part is the actual drumming is in her headphones (sold separately)! Lol. Overall great quality and value. I had it hooked up wrong initially and thought it was a manufacturer issue. The company got back with me quickly and helped me troubleshoot to find my issue. We are satisfied.
Andrew Davis
We spent a lot of time looking for an electric drum set for our son for Christmas, and after reading countless reviews, this is the one we settled on. We are beyond satisfied. We have it hooked up to a decent amp and the sound is very close to actual drums. The face of the drums also feels very close to actual drums and the sounds get louder or softer the harder you hit it. Overall, I would highly recommend.
Gitarzzan
Purchased for my Musically talented 7 year old. He has beat the snot out of them. So far so good. It has 15 different kit sounds... I think you can hook to a computer and add more.... haven’t got that deep into it yet.
SharWal
I bought this set for my 6 year old (and myself!!). It was pretty easy to assemble and fits in quite well in a corner. You do need an amplifier with it but it is fun to be able to modulate the outcome. It’s a good addition to our music room.
Leslie
We bought this for our 6 year old son who is learning to drum. It’s awesome that he can play and wear his headphones without being loud to the entire house. It’s pricey but very sturdy and well made. Highly recommend. For any level.
Jill Young
This was perfect for my drummer who was just getting back to drumming. The company was super helpful in choosing the right accessories too! Even our friends who are more advanced drummers love this set. I love it because we don’t need to mess with tuning!
Tiffany Hall
Got this for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves them! Love the fact that he can hook up his music and earphones and play without disturbing everyone in the house! Would definitely buy again!
Rudi H.
This has everything a beginner drummer needs to get started. We purchased this for our 12 year old son. The best part is, it’s very quiet, with the option to plug in headphones. This mom with a newborn is VERY GRATEFUL
Michael Garnett
Awesome! My son and I are beginners and this is great! Easy to set up, easy to use, had everything you need to start learning. We live in a 2nd floor apartment. All we have done is place a couple workout mats under the set and it’s super quiet.
Diggums
Easy to set up. Cables are color coated. Heads have great action. It folds up for easy storage. Amp compatible. Head phones and stool come with it. Virtually silent with the head phones. Double kick comparable. You can tweak the sound a little if you connect to software. Sound mod needs work.
MascotRay
This was absolutely perfect for my 11 year old to start learning drums. With headphones, the sound is awesome for her and it doesn’t drive everyone else in the house crazy. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that when she hits the pads way harder than she needs to the snare pad rotates down no matter how tight I make it. HOWEVER, there is no reason to hit a pad that hard, so I don’t hold it against the set per se. I just need to teach her better that drumming isn’t about hitting things as hard as you can. Haha.
Cj
It was easy to assemble but hard to get tight enough. This drum set was for my son and he is a little rough on it, breaking it apart the first time we put it together.
It is a great buy and you just need to make sure to tighten everything to make it really secure before trying to move or use it.
Diane D.
Got it for grandsons birthday! Really nice and sounds good too! Best part is it has headphones so the neighbors aren’t disturbed!
Has blue tooth so he can play along!
Zach
This is a pretty cool drum set! Really nice that it comes with a full kit, drum throne and some headphones.
Eric B.
Total 50yo beginner. Never played drums, still have no idea what to do with hi hat. Love this, mesh feels great. 1 month in, nothing wrong. Packaging, assembly np. Included drumsticks no good, nylon tips good. Check out donner bt amp in pic. Controller jacked into amp, ipad bt for lessons but mostly just banging away to rock songs. Bt headphones work, seems something different with sound but haven't used much. That throne I have is fine 2. This set will likely entertain me for long time.
Katherine
Pretty easy to put together and great quality for the money! I have three drummers in my house of all levels, and they all get good use out of this set! Shipping was super fast.
Alejandro
Amazing. Just get some better headphones. Great Deal. Great quality drums.
Nicholas
reat set! Quality sound, easy to assemble, and made of high quality material. Has a much more comfortable bass drum, snare and hi-hat than other electronic drum sets I've seen and tested out. A drummer who is used to a traditional set may have to make slight adjustments with their respective techniques, but that's the same for all electronic sets. I like the drum covers better than some other sets because they aren't smooth as glass like cheaper ones. Instead they have a different consistency for better sound. I easily hooked it into a bass amp and it sounded great. Also sounds great with a good pair of headphones. I purchased the two year warranty, but the way this set is built, I doubt I'll even need one. Would highly recommend, and I am extremely happy with it.
Joseph M.
Sound quality was better then I expected. Also the quality was excellent, they went way out of there way to protect all the components.

I bought this to get up to speed for the church music group. It had been 32 years since I played a set and decided to buy this to tighten up my chops. It works great. Has line in and line out so you can run music into the headphones and adjust the volume for the set to create the perfect balance especially if you have apps that cut out the drum tracks. I bought a Tama double bass pedal since the one that comes with it isn't the best quality. I haven't messed with the settings too much as I like the pre programmed sounds based on what I'm playing. I like the heads. They feel great. Perfect for getting ready for playing the real set at church in front of a crowd.

I have 3 boys and we all play various instruments. I have been wanting to learn snare and drum-set for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and get a set.
I was torn between a "real" drum set and electronic one but now, after seeing how much my boys like to play when I am not, I am glad I opted for the electronic one. My house would be full of constant "music" if we couldn't wear headphones to play these drums.

I am so excited to be replacing my son's acoustic drum set with something we can both enjoy: the Donner DED-200 Electric Drum Set. I'm a guitarist, not a drummer, but I've fooled around with drum sets over the years. Especially during the pandemic, the sound of drum practice can be disruptive to others, but not anymore!
Jive D.
The set arrived well packed in a very nice box. One thing to be aware of, the box weighs 60lbs, so you might need a helper to get in in the house. Everything in the box is packed in individual labeled boxes, which was a nice tough. Instructions were very clear, and I think it took me all of an hour to get everything assembled. They include all tools needed as well.

As a musician (guitarist) I understand a good quality instrument is key when you are trying to learn. So I bought my daughter a good acoustic drumset. While she loves it, we cant just have it out due to space and of course the volume. This has deterred her away from playing when she likes to because it takes to long to set up. I took her to a music store and she absolutely loved the electric drum set she saw. So I hopped on Amazon and having used Donner guitar equipment, I decided to grab this set. It took me all of 30 minutes to build and it has the ability to fold somewhat so setting up is a breeze if you need to stow it away in a corner. It comes with 5 drums and 3 cymbals but you can expand with a second crash if you wanted to.
I am not a drummer but I play with drummers and understand what a drum is supposed to sound like. This does not sound like an acoustic in the sense that when you hit it, you only hear a tap. Once you hook up to an amp or headphones is when it truly shines. It responds to light and heavy strikes and everything in between. I have no other reference to compare to but it sounds good to me. Some sounds sound raw, some EQed. There is a sound for every music you would like to play. I have been practicing along to music by plugging into the audio input.
I did find that I wanted some of the strike components to sound louder on some sets but then I found out you can adjust the volume individually! This was a great feature. There is a TON of sounds in here. You can adjust timber, kits, use a metronome and put it into demo mode if you want to hear a backing track.
The drums react to force and area where they are hit. I found it cool that you can hit a cymbal and grab it to mute it. Again, not a drummer but I didn't feel like anything was lacking. Except a seat maybe. Everything I imagined it to do, it did well. More than anything I am happy that my daughter can play without annoying the neighbors. I find myself using this a lot because its so quiet with headphones on. I have no experience with electric drums so I cant say at what level these are at in comparison to whats available in this price range I can say that I am happy to have this as a replacement. Sound is clear and crisp with no artifacting, Solidly built with metal and good plastic, metal foot pedals. Even cost the same as my daughters acoustic drum set. I have even recommended to my drummer who cant practice at home since he lives in small apartment.
