This is a great guitar set for a beginner because it includes everything you need to start playing. You get a nice tuner, 4 picks of various thickness, a strap, capo and a high quality carrying case. The construction of the guitar is top notch, mahogany wood. Nice rich tone from this guitar. Nothing is loose or looks poorly made. I was able to tune it and have it hold its tune. The tuner clips on to the neck and relies on the vibrations to tune it. Was very straightforward and you can even use it to tune a ukulele or violin. If you snap the strings it comes with extra. You can even get free lessons with the app. For someone looking to jump into guitar playing I would 100% recommend this package.

This kit is excellent! Everything is really decent! Has picks, strap, kapo, tuner. Think would make a great gift for a first-timer. It's all decent quality it isn't like wow amazing but it isn't too cheap either it's a nice in-between. The worst is when you get something that isn't really good play quality and this is good enough that if you can play guitar you can still do a good job. Your ability will limit you more than the equipment. Very pleased and can gladly recommend it! I almost give it 5 stars ;)

I reviewed another Donner guitar and it was....well....bad. So when I saw this, I thought "Let's give them another chance" and here we are. TLDR: Thankfully, this is a really good guitar. The usual FYI: Me - Professional guitar player, FOH Audio tech, etc. 30+ yrs. This thing impressed me from the very moment I opened the box. The semi-softshell case is REALLY nice. I say semi-softshell because it actually has a pretty firm shell. The block inside for the neck to rest on and the velcro strap that holds the neck in place....very well done. It's got lots of storage space for your strings and other stuff too. The zippers, are also reflective so you won't get run over riding your bike or walking with this on your back. Now, the guitar. I have sold a LOT of guitars from a LOT of companies. Some great, some....not so much. The one thing I found was the no-name imports tended to be pretty low quality. I inspected this thoroughly and found it to be the exact opposite. It's very well put together and on the whole, much nicer than I expected. It's a really good beginner guitar. The satin finish is, in my opinion, a better option at this price point because it sounds better. Why? Well, wood resonates. That's what determines a good part of the sound quality of any instrument. Dump a bunch of lacquer on there and you dampen the wood's natural resonance. This guitar, especially for a cutaway; sounds really good, has deep low end and is pleasantly loud. A lot of these guitars sound thin and not anything like a full dreadnaught style but this actually sounds really good. The satin finish makes the wood feel a little more natural too. There were a few minor flaws, the most noticeable being on the back of the neck around the fifth fret. There is an indentation about two inches long running in a body to headstock direction. It's hard to say if it's damage or just the wood they used. It's not super noticeable for most people...but I'm not most people. I noticed it immediately. The things I look at first when I unpack acoustic guitars are: The neck and headstock - Is it warped or twisting in any way? Are the frets installed well? Are there jagged edges from them overlapping the binding of the fretboard? Is it solidly fastened to the body? Are there signs of separation? Are the tuners smooth and easy to use? Is the nut well set? No to the first part. The frets....while I won't lie; are a bit rough, I can fix that easily. I DON'T recommend you do that unless you have experience working with guitars. It's not just as simple as filing them down. Your typical file is NOT made for this job. It looks fairly well attached at the body but there is a sign in the finish that it either isn't flush or may be at the early stages of separation. Time will tell on that one. The machine heads or tuning pegs, are nice, enclosed and pretty smooth. The, what appears to be bone nut is situated well and far better than plastic. Next, I look at the bridge/saddle: Is it fastened properly? Is it showing any signs of lifting or look like it might? Is the saddle sitting at a good height? All good there too. The lifting part, well...that's something over time you will find out. I have had them come in the box already lifting but this one is nicely attached. Action or string height/playability: The one I have is good enough for beginners, though slightly higher than I prefer, but it's still pretty easy to play. I don't recommend beginners use heavy gauges of strings, especially on acoustic guitars as you need to build up those callouses and heavy gauge strings can make it really painful to play after a short while. The body: Are the joints solid? Are there any loose braces? Any signs of separation at the binding? The joints are all pretty solid save for what I mentioned earlier in the neck. The braces (the parts inside the guitar that keep it together and stable) you can tap on the body and hear immediately if any of them are loose. No problems there. There isn't any purfling on this guitar, so nothing to worry about there. There is an optional pick guard you can stick on the body but I wouldn't. (In the photo I just set it where it would go if you did.) It's ugly, first of all. And it really doesn't do much. Unless you're just hacking away when you play, you're not likely going to harm the satin finish in any noticeable way. Also, remember what I said about resonance. Sticking something on the body can affect sound. Overall professional opinion: This is a very good guitar for the price. It's as good as any beginner guitar I've sold and the fact it comes in such a nice case, has a strap, picks, capo, tuner (not so great) and extra strings...is a bonus. It sounds REALLY good and it's nice and light. It's well set up and while there are some rough spots, I can honestly say it's a great guita
