i did not expect that this inexpensive little amp would be so well made with a very good tone quality i would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a compact unit this has great tone and the price is more than fair. i would not expect this type of quality for the money spent.

I was amazed by the performance of this amp. I was looking for something small and inexpensive to practice on and do home performances with friends. 2 channels for guitar and mic and chorus are more than adequate and the volume plenty for a small venue. I'm a happy customer.

I have several larger amps, up to 200 Watts, and a small 40W bass amp, but wanted something lightweight and portable just for practicing with an acoustic-electric ukulele. The Donner mini-amp is perfect.! The sound quality and volume are surprisingly good for such a small amp, and the 10-foot cable gives room to roam while playing. The amp also has a great vintage look and feels sturdy and well-made. Very happy with Donner!

I was looking for an amp that I could move around without much hassle that didn't break the bank. I own several Donner effects so I figured I would give the DGA-1 a shot as I have been happy with Donner product quality for the money. I have played using the 1/4" input on channel 2 using two acoustics; one that is characteristically bright and another that has a darker tone. In both cases I found that the EQ adjustments are solid for finding satisfactory tone. The bass is deeply adjustable although at the lower end I couldn't maintain clarity with volume dialed past the mid range. The mid adjust is very, if not overly, responsive and treble worked very nicely. The chorus is quite pronounced, but again a great addition that would pair well with vocals from a mic plugged into the XLR input on channel 1. In all configurations there is a slight transformer hum present but for such a small speaker I thought that the acoustics sounded clear and well represented. The amp is constructed solidly and the tweed look is great. Just for fun I plugged in my Donner Alpha FX, added some reverb, some delay and grabbed my Telecaster and again the amp didn't disappoint. The DGA-1 is a good purchase for a portable/practice amp and the 10' patch and picks were a welcome bonus.

Trying to tweak digital amps on darkened stages drives me crazy! So I wanted something straight forward and easy to use. This amp fits the bill. Plenty of clean power for its small size. No breaking up when looping. Definitely easy to get a good acoustic sound and keep it at different volume levels. Also has a mike input if you forget to put a new battery in your acoustic electric. Solidly built and included a free cord. Light enough to easily take in a backpack. Very happy with this purchase.

This acoustic amp has a really nice bass sound due to the closed back design. There are no high screeching treble sound and the mids are all there too. With all the equalizer controls set to 12 O'Clock this amp sounds really nice. For different acoustic guitars you may tweek the EQ to match your acoustic guitar pickups. You can dial in some really sweet acoustic sounds. This chorus setting on the amp is surprising good. You can dial in how much chorus you want. The chorus doesn't sound artificial , but lush. All the knobs turn smoothly and the tweed design is cool. With the quality speaker, EQ settings, and the built in chorus this amp will keep you playing.

Donner has a great little practice amp here. It has dual channels, one input for a MIC and one for guitar or bass, or some other instrument that uses a standard guitar cable out. it's light, yet feels pretty sturdy. The grill cloth looks pretty tight and well made too. I'm kind of surprised at the quality to be honest for this price point. Now you won't blow the doors off anyone @ 15 watts, though that can get loud enough to blow an eardrum if you aren't careful. I found the volume sweet spot around 3 or 4 before it got too muddy with my guitar. Channel 2, which is the guitar input, has built in chorus you can enable, and it does sounds decent. My only caution here is it darkens the tone a little bit that you can hear in the video I took. This isn't bad per say, but it is a little noticeable as it does add a little more 'mud' to the tone. But that can be cool too with the right application. You can use both channels at once, mic and an instrument which is cool for laying down some sick beats for passerbys if you just want a cheap amp to jam on as you work for spare change on a street corner. This amp works great with pedals, but I didn't demo that as this isn't the focus of this review - but there is no effects loop, so everything is front loaded with your effects hitting the amp with the guitar. This is fine with clean tones but can get pretty muddy with distortion or dirt. That's by design and perfectly fine by me. I'm a big fan of Donner products and own quit a few guitar pedals of theirs as well and can say they have great products for their price points. If you just need quick little amp for the road and travel, or just home working on some song writing, this will get the job done.

Great sound and cheap cost

A few positive points: -Just really nice tone, very true to the sound of the guitar. -Has pretty good loudness, great for decent sized rooms. Can’t speak for larger rooms like cafes etc. -Small size and lightweight! -Looks really nice (not really tweed, but classy looking). Seems very solidly built, dials and buttons very sturdy A few negative points: -Really wished this had a DI out/line out option. I’d love to be able to run this through a mixer -The power cord isn’t detachable, which matters to me for some reason? Isn’t replaceable easily, etc. -I’m generally not a fan of chorus effect, and wish this had reverb instead. -I would have liked discreet effect and EQ effects for each channel, but for price of amp is not standard Overall I’m blown away about the tone of this amp (most important element!) for the price. Would definitely recommend for home practicing or smaller gigging/performing.

After unboxing this amp, my initial shock was that it looked a lot better cosmetically than what I was expecting. Below are some of the things I noticed while playing a taylor through this amp. 1. Speaker Clarity: The sound is clear and is plenty loud enough for playing your acoustic in a bedroom or basement. My acoustic has a lot of bottom end to it, so the amp peaked and cracked once I turned it up to 4. I reduced the bass on the amp, and left it on 75% on my guitar, and it came through fine with minimal peaking and descent tone. I was able to turn it up to about 7 or 8 with plucking, not strumming, and the amp held up fine. 2. Construction: It feels solid and again, looks like a well made amp. The knobs are solid and don't feel loose while turning them. Nothing crazy here, but nothing stood out as flimsy or cheaply made. 3. Effects: The chorus effect sounds great. I would have preferred a reverb effect on the amp if I had to have only one, but with the right tweeking, the chorus can give you some great strumming ,12 string type sounds.
