I am a senior and have not played a piano since my early 20s. I bought the Norton keyboard to try playing again. It has standard size keys that I like a lot. It is fits nicely on a computer desk I had.
Two built in speakers with volume control allow you to practice softly when you want to. I would like to add a sustaining pedal. The music stand is strong and wide enough.
I have not tried the many features yet.

I bought this for my nephew's 14th birthday and was amazed at the sound quality... As a novice I was surprised at how easy it was for him to play. Within an hour he had already mastered "Silent Night"... Using a YouTube video that showed him where to place his fingers... You can not go wrong purchasing this!

We are pleased with this donner keyboard. Its large enough for adult players and children can also easily play it. Build quality is good and the sound options are numerous. Good entry level keyboard set.

This keyboard is GREAT for the price! I bought it for my 7yo son as he was showing interest in playing his toy keyboard and I wanted something he could grow with if the interest remains. It sounds great and while I'm not a professional the quality seems top notch. You can plug it in or use D batteries. The batteries have held up great so far with about 12 hours of use on them. It comes with a music holder and microphone. I would suggest getting a stand as this keyboard is pretty large. Highly recommended for anyone interested in playing.

I used to take piano lessons when in school. I took it for about 2 months and left it. I learned how to read sheet music in those months. This piano has the LCD screen that shows the notes as in sheet music. I could learn to play Ode to Joy in just 2 days. I mean that's amazing. I copied the notes on sheet to the LCD notes and bam!! I love this piano instantly. It's definitely recommended for beginners to learn. There are bunch of other buttons as well that can do many many things that I still have to learn yet but the fact that I can learn to play so easily is amazing. I am gonna learn a lots of songs to play now. It can record, at drums at the same time. Overall, I feel this is a great instrument for beginners at such good price point.

Excellent keyboard for beginners. I bought this for my daughter as she wanted to have her own keyboard. This is really awesome self learning keyboard. It comes with preassembled stool and a stand. The sound quality is nice. The best part about this keyboard is it has some recorded songs and if you want to learn it shows on the keyboard which button to press. It has most of the output to connect. There are so many buttons to take control. It has a mike too. The mike is not that great but that’s okay as I did not expected a mike. The only thing that took me time was to assemble the stand hope they had better clear instructions on it. Apart from that if you are looking for a keyboard for beginners this is the right product.

This was a gift for my 13 year old who has recently started taking piano lessons. We had a small keyboard that wasn’t sufficient. This one seems to have everything he needs and he loves all the different instrument sounds he can make with it. It can plug in or use batteries. I wish it had a spot for a memory card or stick because he likes to record his items. It has a lot of inputs in the back but none that fit those. Maybe more advanced players/composers have different ways to record that I am not aware of but for the beginner it isn’t easy to do that part. But it is a nice keyboard with decent sound quality, a stand for music, a plug for headphones, and could be portable to take to lessons.

As a parent my kids always want to play a piano. A piano at the store cost thousands of dollars. I just need a beginner one that was in my price range. Not sure if my kids going to enjoy it or not. However this piano does it all. I use the piano app to teach my kids how to learn. It’s very easy. The keys are half of a real professional one but it’s good for them. It has built in music and you can change different tones to it. What I love about this is that it comes with an adjustable stand and chair. So you don’t need to purchase additional things. It has a lot of features that is too long to list. But this piano goes well with simply piano app. So far my kids are enjoying it every night. A good buy

I honestly wasn't expecting a whole lot out of a $89 keyboard. But my son is interested in learning how to play piano, so I was in the market for a compact keyboard that could be moved around the house, or taken on the road of needed. I gave this a shot because the price was right and I own a handful of other Donner products with great results.
I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this keyboard. The voices are kind of a mixed bag in terms of quality, but there are a TON of them (far more than most of the affordable offerings from the big name brands) and the major piano tones are actually very good, and almost as good as my much bulkier and more expensive Yamaha. And actually, while these don't seem to technically have 'weighted keys' they still do feel like they have some weight to them, and they are certainly a HUGE step up from the light and dinky keys provided on anything else I've ever seen below $200 let alone $100. These are robust full sized keys. It's not going to feel exactly like playing a real piano, but it's very close for minimal investment.
It has all the outputs you would want. Sustain pedal, headphone/output, and MIDI. The sustain pedal output (pedal not included) and audio out are 3.5mm rather than the 'standard' 1/4 inch, but that's nothing an adapter can't solve. It comes with a plug in power adapter, but can also be powered by six D batteries for completely untethered use. The display is clear and bright, and provides any necessary information that would be needed (this is something else that is sometimes absent on budget units; some will have only a single line display readout that makes it difficult to figure out what mode you're in or what you have selected.. that is not the case here).
For a more serious musician there is still a lot to like here. It's not necessarily just for beginners. It functions perfectly well as a MIDI device, and there are other cool features such as the ability to split the keyboard into two voices, and auto sustain and autochords.
All in all another very solid offering from Donner. They're products across the board can go head to head with much more expensive offerings, and I've yet to be disappointed by any of their products, and this keyboard is no different.

Perfect for a beginner.

My 5 year old is learning how to play and this specific piano was recommended. We are very pleased with it so far.

It’s awesome easy to use and learn on

I love this keyboard. It has so many features for my son to explore. I love the fact that he can put his headphones on in play away without disturbing the whole house. It has good volume that can be turned up and down. The only problem is that the microphone broke the first day. But I’m so happy with the keyboard I’m just going to buy another microphone.

I will tell you what is the bestvpart of this piano ...
First it sounds so professional I have two of little ones but they both sounds like for babies or children's but this one compare to my old pianos this is the best.
Yes it is very good for beginners and even professionals can use this.
Sound quality is perfect like I said so good to hear .
Bigger than the ones I have and thicker
Easy to learn of course because there is a guide in front that you can look at.
And affordable very much lesser price than in stores. Giftable too

I bought this keyboard for my 9 year old and she instantly fell in love with it. The keys respond quickly with crisp sound and are just the right size for both small/big hands. This keyboard bundle is definitely worth the money. My daughter especially loved the microphone. Even though I find the microphone is not the best quality, the keyboard itself, stand, and stool, are well worth the money. Definitely recommend for beginners.

My whole family love it and my children use a free app on the tablet for lessons. Great sound quality!

Because of the kid’s interest in learning the piano, we needed something that would be a good range for ages and would be able to keep up with them as they learn. This unit fits the bill perfectly.
The keyboard was surprisingly light. I was worried it would be too heavy for our little one but it wasn’t. The only gripe would be the music holder as it seems to just sit in the slots. I would prefer something that clicked in. The plug was long enough to be able to set it nicely on the table with enough cord to reach.
One of the reasons we bought this one was the many buttons and corresponding pictures. Since we bought this primarily for the kids we wanted to insure they could find the sounds and manipulate the actions as they play, such as the tones, back ground sounds, percussion etc. Manipulating the buttons to find what we need was a no brainer and the background sounds and options such as the rhythms was perfect.
The sounds were as expected. The keys are very light to the touch, this is a plus in my opinion for the younger kids. The fantastic part that I really love is the screen. Not only are the numbers large enough for the kids to see well, the unit shows what keys are being pushed when you play, and it shows the notes that are being played as well. I am very happy with the purchase and the kids are keeping occupied learning on this keyboard.

I have never played the piano before but I really like this and I’ve been learning for a while. No, it did not come with the letters so I just made them instead of buying some lol. Also I didn’t come with a stand just so you know. I think the sound is good and is worth the price, even tho I was nervous with price but it came perfectly fine. One more thing, when I got the piano the box was all busted up, unfortunately I don’t have a picture of it but that can just be the way my delivery service handled it but the piano came un-harmed. Overall I’m happy with this purchase and glad I got it.

i play a little guitar and really like piano, so i decided to take the plunge, im also going to use it for background music as you can see in the photo i am recording to sd, the sound is very nice, and in the review, which i will try and update, i said there was no manual, but there was, i just didnt see it right away, so sorry about that, it is really very nice, the microphone is the only thing that really isnt great, you will see if you buy it, the smallest ive ever seen lol, but i will try it , overall, a worthwhile keyboard at a good price

Fantastic product for the price, love all the options and the be ability to plug in my headphones or use the speakers. I only wish they included a power adapter but for the low price I can understand, so I can't knock that down a star for that.

I am so impressed with this electronic keyboard! Easy to set up. Sound is crystal clear. The options on the keyboard are endless with built in tempo, sync and attachable microphone. Easy to set up keyboard stand and comfy stool! Highly recommend!

My wife was interested in learning how to play piano, and figured a keyboard would be the perfect learning tool. I had an old Casio (we're talking 20 years old), but wanted her to have something that would be a little more...updated. That's when I stumbled on this keyboard. I've heard the Donner name a few times (own one of their capos, an Alchemy effects pedal, and have heard good things about their ukeleles), and it seemed to have a lot of tools that would encourage her to learn, and at a great price to match. I mean, a full-size keyboard for under $100? There aren't too many of those floating around.
This is a great keyboard for beginners, or even some intermediate players looking to hone their skills. It's made of plastic, but doesn't feel cheap, and the buttons also feel sturdy; I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'd feel comfortable taking it gigging, but for home practice it's a good fit. I'd say the build quality is pretty much on par with my old Casio, but at a much lower price point. It's also much lighter and less bulky, which makes moving it around a breeze, even for my short wife. It can be powered using batteries (just 6 AA, much more practical than the 6 "C" batteries required for my old keyboard), or the included AC adapter, and even has an automatic setting that disables draining of the batteries when the AC cord is plugged in.
There's a large library of "voices" (500 of them!) that range from standard (piano, guitar) to more exotic, so you should have no troubles finding a sound that will fit your mood (or envisioned musical project). We haven't had time to noodle with them all yet, but ones I've heard are useable, and good for the price point. Personally, I wouldn't use most of them in any serious recordings, but for demos, or singalong practice, or posts to social media, they will fit the bill quite nicely.
The electronic display is crisp and, for the most part, easily readable: the only drawback is the finger diagram, as it can be hard to see which fingers are being highlighted when you're playing along. Outside of that, though, it clearly lists all activated settings, and even has cool treble/bass clef staffs that highlight the notes you're playing as you press them (or in the case of learning mode, the notes that you are supposed to press). This can not only help users learn to read music, but also to quickly transcribe cool "riffs" and melodies for later use.
Overall, this is an excellent keyboard for the price point, as long as you go in with the right expectations: this isn't something that's going to blow you away with its tonal qualities or versatility. But it has virtually every feature a budding pianist could want, including MIDI connectivity, a headphone jack to practice even in quiet surroundings, dozens of songs to practice along to, and a handy music stand. If you're looking to learn and don't want to waste a lot of money (who does?), there's no need to look any further.
