I love what I'm seeing so far. This beginner kit comes with a ton of accessories which I can appreciate, since being a newb, I wouldn't have known where to begin. I feel as though the quality and performance is also fine and dandy. As I already stated, I'm a newb - but comparing this guitar to other high quality units I've seen and handled, I honestly don't see much difference in the overall build, materials, weight, etc.. And that's a very good thing since the units I'm comparing it with are fairly high end, or at the very least a quality unit. Other's who are also much more musically inclined comment about how nice the guitar is. Is it simply because it's brand new, or because it actually is a high quality unit? I'm going to opt for the latter. I can certainly trust that the materials listed by the seller are accurate and true to form. A very nice unit, and looking forward to learning a new instrument. Thumbs up.

This guitar is quite beautiful and sounds great. The size is about mid-range and appropriate for both myself (5'1") and for my son who is much taller (6'1"). While the guitar is enjoyable and makes learning easy, there are some initial challenges involved in tuning the nylon strings as these take some time to stretch. I had my son, who is more musically inclined than I am, tune the guitar as I was struggling; I would get it in tune and then the strings would stretch out again. PROS - Nice looking guitar - Size is mid-range, making it a good size for smaller-frame players - Nylon strings last longer than steel - Good quality body - It sounds great; it has that mellow, softer timbre one would expect to hear from a classical guitar - Comes with a padded nylon case, which makes it convenient to carry around - Comes with several accessories CONS - Difficult to tune initially, but your patience and effort will be rewarded While I would not particularly say this is a beginner’s guitar, I would say that those with some experience with stringed instruments would appreciate it and its style.

I have been playing electric guitars for years but have never taken the plunge on a serious acoustic, despite wanteing to do so for almost as long as I have been playing. This opportunity to evaluate this Donner acoustic comes at a very fortuitous time as I was in the market to buy an acoustic. Now, even though I have not owned a serious acoustic, I have had a couple of cheap ones over the years and this is what this Donner is, a "cheap" guitar, that can be determined simply by hold it. It is very light weight and feels very "unsubstantial". It is cheaply made, with cheap materials and even the strings are split between 3 steel strings for the low E, A and D while the G, B and high E are all nylon. Not a fan... so I changed those 3 out for steel strings but that is a personal preference and I know a TON of people who prefer the nylon arrangement. While I maintain that this is a "cheap" guitar, I will now clarify that that does NOT mean that you should make the mistake of dismissing it. It has a surpringly rich and warm tone considering it's make up and materials. I find it very comfortable to play and it holds it's tune quite well. I think thIs is a superb starter kit for anyone that wants to pickup a guitar for the first or nearly first time. It plays well and the neck is nicely shaped and very comfortable to play up and down. Equally, the value of this kit, is quite impressive. You get the guitar, a capo for the neck, guitar picks, a complete 2nd set of strings, a very small but effective digital tuner that clips right on to the head of the neck and gig/carrying bag. Will I still go out and buy a better acoustic than this one? Yes, I will and I will pay MUCH MUCH more for it. No one will throw in a good gig bag, capo nor a tuner and almost certainly, no extra strings will be offered. This Donner is a good starter guitar at an outstanding price that will surprise you in how it sounds and performs. Definitely recommended.

I've waited a little while to share this review. I'm really pleased with this instrument - the sound gets better and better. It's very well made, looks great and now stays in tune after the strings have stretched fully. Excellent value with bag, tuner etc.

I am at the very beginning of learning classical guitar, and I have a genuine passion for classic music in general. This beautiful instrument will help me to have an enjoyable learning process. Although Donner is a young musical instrument brand Founded in 2012, I am truly impressed with the quality of this well-designed and affordable musical instrument that comes with all accessories you need as a beginner. I will come back with additional review, but I just wanted to say that I am really impressed and so happy to start learning classical guitar on this Donner instrument. Thank you!
